Thomas Partey Could See an Early Return to Arsenal
Arsenal are hoping for Lady Luck to bless them as recent reports suggest that Thomas Partey could return to the squad before February.
The 30-year-old defender has endured a laundry list of injuries in recent years, and he hasn’t started a match for the Gunners since October last year, no thanks to a muscle problem; not to mention he was also snubbed by the Ghanaian national team for the upcoming African Cup of Nations.
However, according to coach Mikel Arteta, it seems that Partey is on the mend and could return to training with the Gunners’ top squad ahead of their English Premier League game against Nottingham Forest on 30 January.
Arsenal do not have the capacity for any trading during the transfer window, and are making every effort to hold onto their current players and beef up the team, but each injury makes Arteta’s eye wander towards a sale.
